​San Anselmo’s downtown is a vibrant hub for residents and visitors alike, providing spaces that reflect our community’s spirit. I support programs like the parklet initiative, which have enhanced outdoor dining and shopping experiences while supporting local business. By working closely with local businesses and expediting services for new entrepreneurs, we can continue to grow our economy, particularly in areas east of downtown, while preserving the town as an attractive community to live in and visit.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

Ensuring our community is ready for emergencies is a top priority. I advocate for regular neighborhood evacuation drills, increased support for fire prevention through defensible space work, supporting recommended fire engine staffing levels, connecting neighborhood emergency preparedness leaders across our Town, and stronger collaboration on flood zone management. These efforts will help us respond swiftly and protect lives and properties during disasters.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Investing in our infrastructure is critical for San Anselmo’s future. I am committed to improving our roads and reviewing roads policy, upgrading community facilities, and ensuring safely shared, accessible open spaces for everyone. Expanding electric vehicle (EV) charging options is also a key focus as we transition towards a greener, more sustainable future.

COMMUNITY CONNECTEDNESS

A strong, inclusive community is the heart of San Anselmo. I will work to expand opportunities for youth involvement and services, ensuring their voices are heard in decisions affecting the town. By fostering inclusivity and integrating diverse community perspectives into our General Plan, we can shape a future that reflects the values and aspirations of all residents.

ENVIRONMENTALLY-SUSTAINABLE AFFORDABLE HOUSING
San Anselmo must address the housing needs of our families, workforce, and older adults through environmentally sustainable practices. I support solutions like infill development and housing linked to public transportation, which can help reduce the housing crisis while minimizing environmental impacts. Building affordable, workforce-focused housing within San Anselmo will shorten commutes for many residents, reducing the need for long drives to higher-wage jobs and improving residents’ quality of life. This is a critical piece of the puzzle for both housing equity and environmental sustainability. As a council member, I will use my experience to carefully assess housing options, support the implementation of our Town’s housing plan, ensure a balanced approach to help meet our community’s needs, and protecting the environment, while listening to residents every step of the way.

CLIMATE AND ENERGY

I believe San Anselmo is a leader in transitioning away from fossil fuels and embracing renewable energy. Over half of San Anselmo’s local emissions come from transportation, and I am committed to reducing this by supporting green transportation options. My priorities include promoting green energy alternatives, expanding EV charging stations, and creating safer biking strategies. Together, these strategies can help to reduce emissions while making clean energy more accessible.
